Job Overview: Project Manager – SUIDAC

The Project Manager will lead the design, construction, and management of river water systems and related infrastructure in humanitarian settings. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and experience working in complex environments such as refugee camps or rural development areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead river water system design and construction management using tools like EPANET and AutoCAD.
  • Manage project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery.
  • Supervise and coordinate project staff and contractors.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting using Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including local communities and humanitarian partners.
  • Ensure compliance with IRC’s policies and humanitarian standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • University degree in Civil, Water Resource Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience for Degree holders, 3 years for Master’s holders. 
  • Experience in Environmental Health (EH), preferably in humanitarian contexts such as refugee camps or emergency responses.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with EPANET (water system design software) and AutoCAD is mandatory.
  • Strong skills in Excel for data analysis.
  • Experience in river water system design and construction management.

Management Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage staff and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal communication skills.

Computer Skills:

  • Competent in Windows, MS Office suite, email, and database management.

Language:

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
