Livelihood Officer – IRC Ethiopia (Bambasi)
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is hiring a motivated Livelihood Officer to support its humanitarian efforts in Bambasi. This full-time position focuses on improving the livelihoods of IDPs and host communities through business skills training, VSLA formation, and cash assistance programs.
You’ll work closely with local leaders, partner organizations, and vocational institutions to deliver tailored, community-driven solutions that promote resilience and self-reliance
Key Responsibilities Include:

Identifying and training VSLA groups

Providing business and financial literacy training

Coordinating skill-building programs and MPCA distribution

Monitoring and reporting program activities

Linking clients with microfinance institutions and cooperatives
- BSc or MSc in Agriculture, Business, Economics, or related fields
- 1–2 years of relevant experience (NGO experience preferred)
- Strong communication, coordination, and training skills
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural, high-pressure environment
